Jungle Experiences was named South America’s top river cruise company at the 2019 World Travel Awards (WTA) Latin America ceremony on July 14 in La Paz, Bolivia.

Considered the “Oscars of travel and tourism,” the award lauded Jungle Experiences for its service quality and excellence over 25 years of cruising the Peruvian Amazon. More than two million travelers participated in this year’s voting.

In thanking everyone who voted for the company, Jungle Experiences general manager Claudia Rodríguez said, “This is the first award we’ve received for being a top Amazon cruise company. I would like to dedicate this award to our entire team for the huge effort and dedication they put in each day.”

“This acknowledgment makes clear our commitment to travelers and motivates us to continue offering quality service on all our boats. At Jungle Experiences, we’re committed to Peru and we seek to make each experience unforgettable for visitors. That’s why we’re already working on a fourth boat for 2021.”

Jungle Experiences was also acknowledged by the Loreto Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade, Tourism and Craftsmanship for drawing attention to the Peruvian region and contributing to the development of Amazon tourism.

Jungle Experiences offers passengers a choice between a luxury voyage on the Zafiro luxury Amazon cruise or an adventure trip aboard La Perla, or charter trips on the Amatista.

All of the boats offer unique itineraries to explore rivers in and around Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve in the Peruvian Amazon during voyages of four, six or eight days.

Daytime activities include fishing for piranhas, swimming with pink dolphins endemic to the Amazon, participating in an authentic shaman ceremony, getting up close and personal with a sloth, and much more.

After dark, travelers can spot nocturnal species like the caiman crocodile, tree frogs, or the enigmatic anaconda, always accompanied by our specialist guides.
