The new South African game reserve offers three distinct safari styles — Valley Lodge, Zulu Rock, and Travellers Camp. Which one is perfect for you?

Valley Lodge

A nature lover’s escape where beautiful flora and fauna abound. The lodge overlooks the picturesque Nsubeni River Valley with glistening granite kopjes, sandstone cliffs and quartzite ridges stretching into the distance where the White Umfolozi River flows. Valley Lodge offers a truly unique bush experience on a grassroots level with a home-away-from-home feeling.

The lodge sleeps 18 people in nine luxurious suites, including a honeymoon suite set slightly apart from the rest. Each air-conditioned suite features sweeping views of the beautiful reserve. The lodge offers delicious meals via restaurant or room service.

Zulu Rock

Situated atop a mountain on the outer reaches of the reserve and overlooking the White Umfolozi Valley, three-star Zulu Rock offers sweeping views across grasslands, thornveld and river.

The lodge’s minimalist design features clean lines and curated Zulu artifacts. The seven stone-clad chalets are spaced for ultimate privacy and designed to maximize views, allowing the natural surroundings into the built space. Guests will fall in love with the intimate bush setting while sitting at the lapa or cooling down in the pool.

Travellers Camp

Scheduled for a grand opening this May, Babanango’s newest overnight spot will also be its most upscale. Set beneath huge white canopies, the suites are arrayed across a hilltop location with views of the surrounding bush. Chic interiors feature king beds, spacious living area and fully equipped modern bathrooms.
