This intimate upscale tented camp in north-central Kenya provides an astonishing safari experience. Elephant Bedroom Camp is set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River and shaded by doum palms and other trees that comprise a green belt of riverine forest running through Samburu National Reserve.
The 14 spacious tents have rustic and colorful African touches, offering touches like a private plunge pool on the deck, hot and cold running water, and complimentary herbal shower and bath products.
The lounge and dining area is decorated in vibrant safari style, its soft intimate lighting assuring it’s the ultimate place to relax between exciting game drives. Elephant, monkeys and impala are amongst the camp’s regular wild visitors, while Samburu National Reserve boasts a good number of lions and leopards and offers the opportunity to see many species endemic to northern Kenya.
Elephant Bedroom Camp’s numerous amenities and activities include accredited professional safari guides, 4×4 open-sided safari vehicles with a maximum of six guests per vehicle, bush breakfast or dinner, sundowner cocktails, cultural visits, lectures on Samburu culture by the resident naturalist, entertainment by local Samburu people, and guided bush walks.
