Witness the magnificent Icelandic landscape while tasting the delicious food and local produce on this Iceland “foodie” City Break with Iceland ProTravel.

Day one features a food walk and beer tasting through Reykjavik, the Icelandic capital city. Lasting around four hours, the tour includes two to three samples at six different restaurants.

Among the traditional Icelandic dishes you might get to sample are a yogurt-like treat called skyr, homemade ice cream, hot dogs, seafood, and lamb. If you’re brave enough, you can also taste other “specialties” of the Icelandic kitchen like fermented shark, goat testicles, and sheep heads.

Day two is a guided tour of the famed Golden Circle region including Thingvellir National Park, where the world’s first national parliament was founded in 930 AD, as well as spectacular Gullfoss waterfall, the active geysers and boiling mud pots of Geysir, and finally the Fridheimar greenhouse and restaurant before returning to Reykjavik.
