Seeking to highlight the wonders of as unique South American destination, the government recently launched the new tourism campaign called “Colombia, the Country of Beauty.”

The campaign will emphasize the fact that Colombia boasts not only two oceans, six snowcapped mountains, six deserts, and 42% of the national territory is Amazon rainforest, but also 10 percent of the planet’s biodiversity immersed in culture rich surroundings.

Colombia is also blessed with at least 65 indigenous languages, more than 1,900 native bird species, and nine different places declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

In fact, Colombia is the only South American nation where you can hike the Andes, savor a gorgeous Caribbean beach, venture into the Amazon rainforest and watch whales in the Pacific.
