Cruising in Style
March 19, 2017 - 1 minute readAll safari vehicles are not created equal, a fact that becomes readily apparent to anyone who has tried to drive the African bush in anything other than a Land Rover or Land Cruiser.
The Elewana Collection uses six different types of Rover and Cruisers for our game drives, transfers and other road-related activities at our various lodges, tented camps and resorts in Kenya and Tanzania.
The most common vehicle you’ll see at our properties is an open-sided Toyota Land Cruiser. Outfitted with a “bikini” roof for shade, as well as electrical dock for recharging camera batteries etc. and photographic beanbags, the sturdy 4×4 vehicles can seat seven passengers and a driver/guide.
To view each of the vehicles that The Elewana Collection uses during your safari, please check out the Elewana Vehicle Guide.
Cheli & Peacock Safaris uses two types of vehicles to make you ground transfers and safari ventures more enjoyable. To view both of these vehicles, take a look at the Cheli & Peacock Safaris Vehicle Guide.
