The Elewana Collection has done it again — five of its resorts in Kenya and Tanzania have captured prestigious Condé Nast Traveler’s 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Sand River Masai Mara was named the No. 1 in Kenya, No. 7 in Africa and No. 26 in the “Best Resorts In The World” category.

What CNT said about Sand River: “Seeing millions of wildebeest running across the landscape is one for the bucket lists, and Elewana Collection makes sure your viewing experience is comfortable as well as incredible: think 16 tented accommodations with glamorous interiors to rival Old Hollywood, fluffy robes and slippers, and private decks.”

Elsa’s Kopje Meru came in at No. 3 in Kenya and No. 13 in Africa.

What CNT said about Elsa’s Kopje: “Built up on a hill with a full view over Meru’s savannah, the lodge offers game drives, fishing in Meru’s rivers, and bush walks for those looking to explore, as well as an infinity pool, private decks for each suite, and massages by appointment for those who don’t want to stray far from the lodge.”

Serengeti Migration Camp was voted No. 6 in Tanzania and No. 16 in Africa.

What CNT said about Serengeti Migration Camp: “You feel like you’re never far from the wild  . . . game drives, guided walking tours, and balloon rides are on offer; in addition to spotting the Big Five, guests can see zebras, crocodile, giraffes, and cheetahs.”

Kilindi Zanzibar wasnamed No. 1 on Zanzibar island, No. 7 in Tanzania and No. 19 in Africa.

What CNT said about Kilindi Zanzibar: “Not since the last sultan’s palace has there been anything so stylish on this fabled east African isle. The designers have created a landscape of whitewashed domes and arches that seem to mushroom up organically from the forested folds of Zanzibar’s north shore.”

Serengeti Pioneer Camp finished No. 9 in Tanzania and No. 21 in Africa.

What CNT said about Serengeti Pioneer Camp: “This 12-bungalow tented camp has some of the most expansive views in the southern Serengeti . . . guests get a full immersion, which includes participating in the camp’s conservation and community projects through anti-poaching programs and animal-tracking excursions.”
