The Garonga Safari Co. offers three safari properties on the 27,000-hectar Greater Makalali Private Nature Reserve, just north of Hoedspruit and not far from Kruger National Park in South Africa’s Limpopo Province.

Not only does the reserve boast the Big 5 of African wildlife, but it’s also home to cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles and an abundance of birdlife.
Luxury tented safari romance meets the wild beauty of the South African bush at the flagship Garonga Safari Camp. It’s an exclusive tented outpost with just six luxury ensuite units that combine canvas canopy, rustic-textured walls and raised wooden deck overlooking a dry riverbed. Amenities include swimming pool, shared & private dining, and Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas.

With just three suites, Little Garonga Safari Lodge promises a private and personalized African wilderness getaway for honeymooners or a small family group. All are fully ensuite, thatched and air-conditioned, as well as a raised deck with hammock and stunning bush views. They cluster around centralized indoor and outdoor lounges, and a swimming pool overlooking the bush.

The newest addition to the Garonga Safari Co. family, MCH Private Tented Camp embodies authentic safari style, yet with the luxuries that make it a signature “safari for the soul” experience. It offers families, friend groups or even couples an intimate bush getaway, perfect for extended stays. The four tents boast sumptuous bathtubs as well as indoor and outdoor showers.

They also feature a well-stocked bar, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and an indoor lounge that flows outside onto a private deck.
