Opening it’s luxury canvas doors last December, the intimate Mila Camp sits on the 125,000-acre Mwiba Wildlife Reserve adjoining the Serengeti ecosystem, an awesome new place to overnight on Cheli & Peacock safaris to wildlife-rich northern Tanzania.

Providing a luxury classic safari experience with privately guided day and night game drives, bush dining, and sundowners, Mila Camp also offers fly-camping under the stars, walking alongside the Hadza people, dancing with locals at Datoga village, or taking to the skies in a customized helicopter scenic flight.

Mila Camp is perched above a collection of five natural springs on a ridge of granite kopjes and set among an acacia woodland on the Mwiba Reserve.

Mwiba is supported by the Friedkin Conservation Fund (FCF), which conserves more than 3.2 million acres of Tanzanian wilderness crucial to the greater Serengeti ecosystem’s survival. Equally important is ensuring that communities living along the region’s unfenced borders benefit from an active and committed wildlife conservation plan.

Towards those goals, FCF operates anti-poaching operations that work closely with the Wildlife Division of Tanzania, sponsors innovative community development projects, and manages a Geographic Information System (GIS) for mapping and research to complement the anti-poaching initiative.
