The EcoQuest wilderness experience (seven or 14 days) provides an in-depth bush learning experience. It incorporates aspects of our Safari Guide course, such as ecology, animal tracks and tracking, and basic bush skills. It’s aimed at those who are pressed for time but want an immersive African nature adventure.

EcoQuest is an awesome way to hone your bush skills and clear your mind — away from the daily grind. The program is highly experiential and hands-on, so you’ll gather knowledge without realizing it. It’s a genuinely fantastic way to learn.

If you’d like to experience a day in the life of a working safari guide, if you’re a conservationist at heart and want to broaden your knowledge, or if you’re an adventurous spirit who wants a deeper understanding and experience of the bush, then the EcoQuest is a novel way to experience Africa.

It’s about a big-picture understanding of the environment and what impacts it most. The course covers diverse topics like symbiotic relationships in nature, the ecosystem, poaching issues, and the inter-relationships between all aspects of the ecosystem — including the role of humans.

EcoTraining’s nature courses are also personal, with no more than 20 participants per course. During your EcoQuest course, you’ll stay at camps in prime wildlife areas and enjoy wilderness walks or game drives twice daily.

EcoQuest offers a perfect opportunity to reconnect with the natural world and understand its processes while meeting like-minded people who want to be more than mere spectators of nature.
