Tiger, tiger burning bright . . .

According to a recent World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) report, India is home to around 2,200 of the 3,890 Royal Bengal Tigers that are left in the wild — making this country the best destination in the world to view this majestic big cat in its natural habitat.

Jungle Sutra has created a safari itinerary for the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in central India that offers a great chance of observing and photographing wild tigers — along with a cornucopia of other Indian wildlife — while traveling in style and comfort.

Among the other animals that live in the reserve are the Indian leopard, jungle cat, rusty spotted cat (world’s smallest wild cat), dhole (Asiatic wild dog), striped hyena, golden jackal, sloth bear, gaur (Indian bison), four species of deer, three species of antelope, a range of reptiles and close to 350 different kinds of birds.

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi. Rest or participate in optional city activities (extra cost).

Day 2: Early morning flight to Nagpur. Transfer to Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. Lunch at the lodge followed by a jeep safari in Tadoba. Overnight at Bamboo Forest Jungle Lodge

Day 3-5: Morning and afternoon jeep safaris. Overnight at Bamboo Forest Jungle Lodge

Day 6: Morning jeep safari. Check out after an early lunch and flight back to Delhi.
