According to the latest communication issued by Ecuadorian public health authorities, effective 27th August 2021, all travellers coming into the Galapagos Islands will be required to have received the complete schedule of the COVID19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to their arrival.
Additionally, all travellers will also be required to have a negative RT-PCR test for COVID19 taken up to 72 hours before their arrival.
As of today, travellers have been asked to have either one of the above requirements but now everyone will have to comply with both in an attempt to prevent all new variants of COVID19 from entering this islolated area.
