As the Pearl of Africa celebrated her 61st independence anniversary in 2023, Uganda expanded its tiger family by two.
The Entebbe based Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC), home to the only tigers in East Africa, received a set of twins on 22nd September. Born to “Brown” (the mother) and “Yura” (the dad), the two little big cats are in good health and doing well. The center plans to organize a naming ceremony for the babies soon.
